Come join us for our Tides Ocean Adventure Summer Camps!
Join us this summer, across 2 of our locations, for an amazing summer camp/beach experience! Tides Ocean Adventure Summer Camp is a unique blend of ocean sports and beach play with some of our very own Tides Marine Biology curriculum mixed in. Campers will have the opportunity to surf, stand-up paddle, bodyboard, build sandcastles, do crafts, play beach games, make new friends and more! We’ll take a break in the middle of the day for a marine biology lesson provided by our awesome summer camp staff, and continue our adventure with guided tide pool and/or beach exploration. (Actual water activities and tide pooling vary by beach location- please see below for specific location details).
We will provide all the gear needed for non-stop fun: soft-top surfboards, SUPs (stand up paddle boards), bodyboards, frisbees, balls, shovels, craft items, easy-ups for shade, etc...(please feel free to bring your own boards!). Ages 6-14 are welcome!

Tides Carp (It's finally here!) We have decided to bring our beloved Tides program to Carpinteria. We are so happy for all of our Carp families to experience and fall in love with Tides. What is Tides? Tides is a marine biology, hands-on exploration class. Led by our marine biologist teacher students will get a unique new marine biology lesson each session (this semester's theme is "Mysteries of the Deep" see the attached flyer!), games that incorporate what we're learning that week, and time to explore the beach and even tide pools as the tide allows. It's like a weekly beach/tide pool field trip with marine biology lessons, friends, collaborative games, and lots of fun!
Classes offered:
Fridays (1st-8th) - Weekly lesson, outdoor learning, nature-journaling, note-taking, art, reading, and beach play.
Tides is a 2.5-hour drop-off marine biology program for children grades 1st - 8th, located in Carpinteria each week. Nature journals in hand, students learn about marine creatures, marine plants, birds, tide pools, ecosystems, and sustainability, all in a hands-on, exploratory learning environment. Tides is led by our wonderful and experienced head teachers and assistant teachers who love teaching children about the wonders of marine biology. Tides meets at a different beach each week in order to experience different marine environments. These are small group classes of up to 14 students per group.
DETAILS: Fridays located at different beaches in Carpinteria. Drop-off & pick-up are at our Carp Childrens Farm parking lot, 5885 Carpinteria Ave, Carpinteria, CA 93013.
Here is the best part: we are conjoining Tides Carp with El Jardin Carp on Fridays! So, our students who come to El Jardin on Friday (from 10-2), now have the option of staying for Tides directly after El Jardin, from 2:00-4:30 pm! For parents of students at El Jardin and Tides on Fridays, they get an extra 2.5 hours of time their kids are in learning programs! Friday students can get 2 programs on the same day! Tides students will get to explore the beautiful beaches within walking distance right around the farm. Ages 6 and up are welcome.
Tides programs are offered throughout the year: fall semester, spring semester, and week-long summer camps. Each session features fresh and original curriculum, so students can continue with Tides for many sessions and keep learning new content!
