Terrain is a four-hour drop-off outdoor forest school program for children located in Carpinteria along the beautiful Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve, among the majestic eucalyptus and cypress groves and the wildflower fields. Terrain is a small group, child-led, outdoor exploration and nature play program. Children get to hike, explore, climb trees, pick flowers, watch wildlife, play in the dirt, listen to read-aloud stories, build forts, create stick and rock structures, collect leaves and seeds, run, play, and imagine. We want children to savor these precious early years by imagining and exploring the beautiful outdoors. Students will get to enjoy all the different terrains that the park has to offer: open trails, eucalyptus tree groves, working educational farm, flower fields, the beach, and grassy open spaces. Ages 3-5 welcome; children must be fully potty trained.
