Levels

Lanterns’ English Language School has three different levels of language learning. During the introductory, free demo lesson students will be initially placed into an appropriate language level by our highly trained and certified teachers. Also, before final placement into classes, students will take placement tests to be placed into appropriate language levels. 

Beginner Level (A)

Lanterns uses the most globally accepted language level reference system called the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages “C.E.F” to place students into the appropriate levels. This ensures an effective and appropriate starting place to begin learning.  

Subjects

Lanterns’ English Language School masterfully covers all of the language basics (Grammar, Reading, and Writing) and beyond, with our elective classes. All classes are personal, interactive, engaging, and most importantly, effective.  

Even though each skillfully designed class has a specific subject focus, all classes are practice oriented and participant based. We believe in the power of practice and participation. Teachers constantly encourage students to orally participate as much as possible, to build speaking proficiency and confidence.

Program Intensity 

Intensive Program

The Intensive Program is Lanterns’ fully integrated and comprehensive option. This option comprises the three Core Subjects (Grammar, Reading, and Writing) and includes the Elective Subject. The Intensive Program is 4 hours a week of online, private, and world class teaching. One hour per subject per week. This includes one hour of Grammar, one hour of Reading, one hour of Writing, and one hour of Electives. This is the recommended intensity because the Elective Subject offers an important wholeness and a well-rounded experience to the English Language learning student.

Semi-Intensive Program

The Semi-Intensive Program is our most flexible and affordable choice for students who desire an excellent education, but have less time availability. This option comprises the necessary and basic three Core Subjects (Grammar, Reading, and Writing) that ensure English Language development. The Semi-Intensive Program is 3 hours a week of online, private, and world class teaching. One hour per subject per week. This includes one hour of Grammar, one hour of Reading, and one hour of Writing.
